Honor to release ‘Giant Rhinoceros Glass’

Honor, a former sub-brand of Huawei, is preparing to launch a new tempered glass panel called “Giant Rhinoceros Glass”, which is expected to rival Huawei’s “Kunlun Glass” in terms of strength and durability. According to Digital Chat Station, the ‘Giant Rhinoceros Glass’ panel is expected to be positioned as a premium glass panel for smartphones, similar to Huawei’s ‘Kunlun Glass’.

While there is no more information available about the “Giant Rhinoceros Glass” panel at the moment, Huawei’s “Kunlun Glass” panel is widely touted for its strength and durability. Huawei claims that the panel is created using advanced technology that includes 24 hours, 108 processes and 1600 degrees melting. This process creates a panel that is rock-hard and contains billions of high-strength nanocrystals, making it impact resistant and preventing cracking.

Besides its durability, the “Kunlun Glass” panel also received the industry’s first five-star drop certification from Swiss SGS, which improves the overall drop resistance of the Mate50 series by 10 times. Honor’s “Giant Rhinoceros Glass” panel is expected to have similar strength and durability characteristics and may even surpass Huawei’s “Kunlun Glass”.

The ‘Giant Rhinoceros Glass’ panel is expected to debut on Honor’s Magic V2 foldable phone. This shows that the new panel is likely to be compatible with the latest technologies and will offer an improved user experience for smartphone enthusiasts.

Overall, the launch of Honor’s “Giant Rhinoceros Glass” panel is expected to boost competition in the smartphone market, especially in the premium phone segment. Emphasizing strength and durability, the new panel is expected to provide significant improvements in the overall smartphone user experience, especially in terms of impact resistance and drop resistance. It will be interesting to see how the new panel performs against the competition and how it will affect future smartphone design trends.
