The accident happened early Sunday morning. when a car crashed into a group of pedestrians waiting at a bus stop in front of Bishop Enrique San Pedro Ozanam’s Center for the Homeless in Brownsville, which has been converted into a shelter by hundreds of immigrants passing through the area.
According to Brownsville Police Lieutenant Martin Sandoval, in the incident First killed seven Venezuelan immigrants and ten others with injuries of varying severity were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but one of them later died.
The author of the outrage, identified as Hispanic, resident of Brownsville.whose name was not released, several witnesses to the incident were held until police arrived, authorities said, without specifying his nationality.

The official added that Authorities took a blood sample from the driver and that a toxicology test was ordered to determine if he had used drugs or alcohol.
“Brownsville Police never thought it was a deliberate actbut it is a factor that we have to analyze,” Sandoval said.
Responsible for the Obispo Center Enrique San Pedro Ozanam Victor Maldonado indicated that the victims were Venezuelan men and that during the event 20 to 25 migrants sat on the sidewalk waiting for a bus across the street from the shelter.
Maldonado pointed out that the migrants came from Venezuela and they arrived at the hostel about two or three days ago.
He said he watched the security video from the shelter after he received a call informing him of the incident and that people were waiting there. She was sitting on the sidewalk at the time of the accident.

“What we see in the video is that Range Rover hit a traffic light that was about 100 feet (30 meters) away and hit people sitting at the bus stop,” Maldonado said.
