Organized crime is growing rapidly in Europe, driven by “historic levels of drug trafficking” and increasingly poses a “direct threat” to state authority in many European countries, Interpol warned on Monday.

In addition to these concerns, INTERPOL noted that its research shows that money laundering and cybercrime are also among the priority issues for the security forces of European member states.

The Ohrid Conference, held in North Macedonia on the occasion of the country’s 30th anniversary this year as a member of Interpol, unites about 150 participants, from 53 countries in Europe and some countries outside of it.
