Bard is the answer to Google currently, AI lives primarily through ChatGPT. A tool developed by the search engine giant started coming to Workspace accounts, its business-oriented suite of applications and collaboration tools. This comes shortly after ChatGPT made its way into Google Workspace itself via a third-party service late last month.

Google announced via the Bard changelog that the AI ​​tool can be enabled by Workspace administrators to “enable their users to sign in to Bard using their Workspace accounts.” The reason given by the company is as follows: “You can now use Bard to help with work, research or other business needs when you sign in to your Google Workspace account enabled for administrators”.

Now, as we can read on the official blog of Google Workspace, the deployment of this function does not take place in parallel with the deployment of the chatbot itself. In other words, the ability to activate this integration will already be available in the administration of all Workspaces, only those users of the same who are in the regions in which Bard is already available, that is, the United States and the United Kingdom, will be able to enjoy this integration.

The inclusion of Bard in Workspace was anticipated by Google for a few days via its official blog, where it posted via a note that “in the next few days, Google Workspace administrators will be able to enable access to Bard for their users in the admin console. under Apps > More Google Services > Early Access Apps’. This means that Bard is coming to Google Workspace, but it’s not a stable featureso its use in production is not recommended or should be handled with great care.

The search engine giant explains in the same entry published on the official blog that Bard is “Google’s early-stage experiment that enables collaboration with generative artificial intelligence.
