The Galaxy S24 will be Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, and as its name suggests, it will be the successor to the Galaxy S23. I know it’s only been a few months since the release of the other, but the South Korean giant chain development cycles and when the current model was launched, the company was already working on its successor.

Galaxy S24 design and build quality

The Galaxy S24 will be a high-end smartphone that will fall into the premium category, which means it will be built on aluminum and glass. The chassis will use the aforementioned metal, which is characterized by being light and durable, as well as having high thermal conductivity, allowing it to function as a passive dissipation system. On the back we will find a layer of Gorilla Glass and we will have another on the front that protects the display.

In terms of design, it is true that we do not expect major changes in the Galaxy S24 family compared to the Galaxy S23 series. Roughly, Samsung has refined the basic design that it introduced back then with the Galaxy S20which we could notice both on the front, where we have reduced edges and a camera integrated into a floating island, and on the back, where the integration of the cameras has been improved while maintaining their vertical distribution, until achieving an island-less design.

With this in mind, it is very likely that the Galaxy S24 will repeat the basic design of the Galaxy S23 and Samsung will simply introduce Minor changes and improvements in the mentioned terminal, which mainly affect the rear part, and perhaps also to the frame line. Galaxy S24 models and possible specifications

I have seen some rumors that Samsung might reduce the models that will arrive with the Galaxy S24 series to two, citing the weak sales of the Galaxy S23 series. However, this information has been rejected at the time the South Korean company confirmed that they are selling much better than the Galaxy S22, saying that in some markets the difference is as much as 70%, although the truth is that they did not give specific numbers, only percentages.

Possible specifications of the Galaxy S24 Ultra

• SoC Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen3, depending on the country.
• 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with QHD+ resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate.
• 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage capacity in the basic version.
• Version with 12 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage capacity.
• 12MP front camera.
• Four rear cameras: 200 MP wide-angle with a one-inch sensor, 12 MP wide-angle, 10 MP telephoto and 10 MP periscope.
• 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging.
• Android 14 as an operating system with OneUI 6.0 layer.

If all this is confirmed, the differences we will see in this new generation they will be quite small. Right now, we could only highlight changes at the design level, which, as we said, should not be too significant, as well as the jump to a new SoC. In the case of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, we are struck by the use of a new panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a new one-inch 200 MP sensor.

It goes without saying that these changes won’t be enough to encourage those with a Galaxy S23 or even a Galaxy S22 to make the leap to this new generation, and that the Galaxy S24 will therefore be more geared towards those with a Galaxy S21 or an older model. Possible release date and price of Galaxy S24

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 on February 1st, but its launch didn’t happen until the 17th of that month, which means we have to distinguish between a launch date and a launch date.
