The original POCO F1 was a sensation, and all its successors since then have created high expectations. Last year we met the POCO F4 and POCO F4 GT and now we learned about its renewal as follows: new SMALL F5 and LITTLE F5 Pro.
To find out what the LITTLE F5 and LITTLE F5 Pro look like Against Android’s mid-range competitionwe confronted them with terminals with similar features and prices: Samsung Galaxy A54, Realme GT Neo 3T, Motorola Moto Edge 40, OPPO Find X5 Lite and Google Pixel 7.
OLED display for all, WQHD+ for one
We have the new POCO F series mobile phones, the most powerful of their catalog. They will undoubtedly give a lot to talk about throughout the year and will often feature in recommendations for mobile phones over 300 – 400 euros, with a clear commitment to value for money trying to focus on quality rather than price. . So, mid-range price and increasingly high-end features.
In the POCO F5’s price segment, OLED has completely eaten the world of LCD. POCO can brag about it POCO F5 Pro comes with WQHD+ resolution rather than settle for Full HD+ like the other phones in our comparison (including the POCO F5).
Both the POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro are a Up to 120 Hz refresh ratehas become the standard. It’s not quite as high as the 144 Hz of the Moto Edge 40, but higher than the 90 Hz we find in Google and OPPO’s offerings.
As for the size of the screen, it’s 6.67 inches on both POCOs, which is pretty much the same as any other mobile phone. The size of both terminals is medium and yet POCO F5 is the lightest POCO With a weight of 181 grams, the Moto Edge and OPPO Find X5 Lite outperformed it in lightness in our comparison.
State-of-the-art processors and wireless charging
A few years ago, comparing mobile processors in a similar price range was synonymous with finding exactly the same processor in all of them. Today, the seven phones in our comparison have seven different processors.
POCO F5 launches Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and in the POCO F5 Pro we find a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Aside from the Moto Edge 40’s Dimensity 8020, which was literally presented a few days ago, either way it’s a more up-to-date bet in our comparison.
In terms of RAM, both LITTLE F5s are well stocked 8 or 12 GB versions (the latter is not available in the competition) and the POCO F5 Pro’s storage stands out as it reaches 512GB at the max version, something we can’t get with other phones in our comparison either.
As for the battery, the POCO F5 packs a 5,000 mAh battery and 5,160 mAh in the POCO F5 Pro. Both cases are accompanied by 67W fast charging, but POCO F5 Pro includes 30W wireless charging. It is the fastest wireless charging in our comparison.
cameras
Coming to the cameras that POCO uses exactly the same settings on the POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro. It has a 16 megapixel camera for portraits. 64-megapixel triple lens for portraitsWith an 8-megapixel wide-angle and a third 2-megapixel macro lens.
As it turns out, it’s basically the same configuration we found on the Realme GT Neo 3T. something fairer in megapixels More than OPPO’s mention (64+8+8 MP) or Motorola’s 50+12 MP. However, we must not forget that the Google Pixel 7 with its “modest” 50+12 megapixels can do wonders, so we will have to test how these lenses behave in order to make a more accurate decision.
