Diablo IV for free… if you buy an NVIDIA RTX 40

If you’ve been waiting to buy a dedicated graphics card and are about to hit one of the most important games of the first part of 2023 hard, you should know that you can get Diablo IV Free with an interesting event launched by NVIDIA and Blizzard.

Package Diablo IV GeForce RTX 40 Series will be available until June 13 for users who purchase a GeForce RTX 4070, 4070 Ti, 4080 and 4090 dedicated graphics card or an OEM desktop PC that includes them and is eligible for promotion in the retail channel. For example, in Spain our leading retailer PCComponentes offers a large number of models from all manufacturers (this week with great Orange Day offers) and with Diablo IV for free.

The package contains a digital license to Battle.net Standard Edition of the game and some cosmetic options for this and other Blizzard games:

  • Lightbringer mount and Carapace of Faith mount armor.
  • Inarius’s wings and Inarius’ pet murloc in Diablo III.
  • Amalgam rage mount in World of Warcraft.
  • Winged Darkness brown cosmetic set on Diablo Immortal.

It states that the game must be redeemed (up to one month after the end of the promotion, on July 13) through the GeForce Experience app installed on a desktop computer that includes one of the qualifying graphics cards. That means: a good chance to get the game for free if you’re considering buying an RTX 40.

Slam Diablo IV server, now with DLSS 3

Blizzard will activate the open beta next Friday server slam that for two days (from 12 to 14 May) will allow first time users to try out the game. In addition to trials, players will have one more chance to earn special cosmetic rewards, including the Beta Wolf Cosmetic Pack and a new Mount Trophy.

And another interesting news that comes from NVIDIA. If the previous beta test was carried out on DLSS 2, now gamers who have a GeForce RTX 40 Series will be able to test it with DLSS 3, the most advanced version of this technology, which, as you know, increases performance even in the most demanding demanding resolutions, obstacle avoidance CPU and frame rate boost.

Finally, and for those who expect the highest possible display quality from Diablo IV, NVIDIA has confirmed it the game will support ray tracing at an unspecified date, after the game’s January 6th release.

The novelty from Blizzard can of course be played on PCs with other graphics cards, as well as on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One consoles. It is already available for pre-order on Battle.net and retail channels like Amazon.
