MediaTek announced this Wednesday (10) its new high-end chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 9200+. The company previously confirmed that it would officially unveil the device on May 10. Rumors pointed to a performance boost and the company confirmed a 10% increase in SoC power.

Dimensity 9200 is one of the most powerful processors for Android. With the release of the 9200+, MediaTek is solidifying its presence in the operating system by delivering a top-notch chip in terms of performance. The new processor delivers improved CPU and GPU performance as well as more efficient power consumption.

In Dimensity 9200+, the frequency increased from 10% to 11%. In single-core tests, performance increased by 10%, and in multi-core tests by 5%. MediaTek has also significantly increased the frequency of the ARM Immortalis-G715 GPU, resulting in 10% faster performance than the Dimensity 9200.

Another important point is how the chip works when running games. The company’s top chip consumes 20% less powerthan “major competitors” (not specified). Apparently, the company has introduced a chip to the market that, in addition to being powerful, also offers optimized power consumption. The Dimensity 9200+ features one ARM Cortex-X3 core clocked at 3.35GHz, three ARM Cortex-A715 cores clocked at up to 3.0GHz, and four efficient ARM Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.

As we can see, the MediaTek chipset is equipped with high-frequency ARM cores and should provide good performance for the devices it is installed on. According to the manufacturer, Dimensity 9200+ will soon appear on the market, being the chip of the iQ00 Neo 8 and vivo X90S smartphones. MediaTek continues its efforts to stand out in the segment, and if earlier all its chips were considered weaker, now it is introducing weight models to the market.
