And the thing is, if you wanted to see the Pixel Fold or the Pixel 7a, you had to gobble up 95 minutes of AI. much and already tits done.

Pixels need a separate presentation, but this is nothing new

Traditionally, both Google I/O and Apple’s WWDC have been software-focused events. They reported on technologies operating invisibly in their programs and systems, We looked at the newer versions of Android and iOS and some hardware came in..

Apple seized the opportunity to present a new Mac, but it was clear that software was the main character and, above all, events designed more for developers. Over the years, these offerings have become more “commercial”. and more and more users are following them to learn about software and above all hardware.

If we focus on Google, at last year’s I/O we had the Google Pixel 6a, a great device that was crowned as one of the best mid-range phones of last year, but still one of the best phones you can buy. 2023.

This year they presented the Pixel 7a, a generation that improves key points compared to last year’s terminal. It will definitely be the best-selling Pixel 7 for its price alone and that he only has seven minutes on stage. Two hours and seven minutes and here’s the thing.

Google Pixel Fold

If it acts as a thermometer, my colleagues José and Mario were live-streaming the Google conference, and although many of you who saw it via Xataka – thanks – hallucinated with AI, you too you asked a lot about devices.

When they’re going to show off the foldable, if they’re finally going to present the tablet, when more than a song the Pixel 7a will come out… and finally, yeah, they showed three devices but they shipped them in just 25 minutes.

Obviously Google can do whatever they want, it’s their product and they choose how it’s presented, but spending little time on the three highly anticipated and innovative devices (remember the Pixel Fold were the first foldable devices and the Pixel Tablet is a mix of a tablet and Nest Hub) comes at a price.

Like? Well leaving specs along the way. Yes, as soon as it was released, a website was set up detailing the devices in full, but in the presentation, they didn’t talk in depth about anything as important as the Fold cameras or more technical data than two screens.

“It has the Tensor G2, it’s foldable, and it has Google software. Fixed” and maybe Three devices so important to the Android ecosystem perhaps not a separate event but certainly deserved a standalone presentation, even if pre-recorded.

But, this is nothing new and after an hour-and-a-half presentation at Google I/O last year, they unveiled the Pixel 6a and the tablet (remember this tablet came from afar, but we now know in depth). And more at I/O 2019, with the Pixel 3a.
