During an I/O event Google, which took place this Tuesday (10), the company announced several news that will soon be released to the public. One of the first openings of the event was a new tool to help you write emails gmail.

During the conference, the company introduced a new feature based on artificial intelligence (AI), which will be available in Gmail under the name “help me write“. As the name suggests, the tool was created to help users write their posts.

During the presentation, an example of how the new functionality will work was shown. As in the demo, an icon with a pencil and Bard’s familiar star will appear next to the submit button. By clicking on this icon, the user will be able to insert a message suggestion. Watch the video below:

The video showed the user responding to the airline asking for a full refund. After inserting the sentence “request a full refund for this canceled flight”, the tool created a complete draft that used the information contained in the email from the airline.

In addition, the tool will have a “Refine” option. This feature will allow the user to customize the wording of the message, offering options such as formalize, refine, generalize, or “feel happy”.

According to Google, the new functionality will be implemented as part of Workspace updates. There is no word yet on when it will be available to all users, but it holds great promise for anyone who spends a lot of time writing emails.

Google Bard presents news and reaches 180 countries

Google announced this Wednesday (10) updates to its artificial intelligence chatbot Bard. New features include support for new languages ​​such as Japanese and Korean, easier ways to export text to Google Docs and Gmail, visual search, and dark mode.

In addition, the company is removing the Bard waiting list and making the system available in English in 180 countries and territories. It also promises future features like AI image creation in collaboration with Adobe and integration with third-party services like Instacart and OpenTable.
