A new level of privacy: Twitter launches Circle feature – what it is and how it works

According to the social network’s help center, Twitter Circle is a way to send tweets to selected people and share your thoughts with a smaller audience. The new feature is currently in the early stages of testing and is only available to a limited number of people worldwide.

How does it work

• Twitter Circle is not the same as a secure account or individual community.
• The function works on the same user page according to the principle of the “Close Friends” list on the social network Instagram.
• To take advantage of the new opportunity, you need to add subscribers to the Circle with whom you want to share certain content.
• Accordingly, if you only choose to be eligible for this Circle when posting a tweet, only selected users will see the post.
