Lenovo announces new models of its ThinkStation desktops and Thinkpad mobile workstations. Devices need to push the “frontiers of creative productivity.”

The ThinkStation P3 series is expanded by three models. These include classic desktop-style workstations, with Lenovo introducing a new “tower” factor for the new models. The name of the base model is therefore ThinkStation P3 Tower.

This workstation is equipped with a thirteenth generation Intel Core processor and an Nvidia RTX A5500 GPU for the graphics section. The P3 Tower also offers up to 128 GB of DDR5 memory, 26 TB of storage across six storage drives, four PCIe expansion slots, and a power supply with up to 1100 W. The ThinkStation P3 Ultra also makes an optional Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) available later appears this year.

Do you have less space on your desk? Then you can also opt for the ThinkStation P3 Tiny, which has a housing volume of just 1 liter. This smaller size houses an Nvidia T1000 graphics card.

Mobile workstations

With its ThinkPad workstations, Lenovo focuses on the mobile worker. A mobile workstation can be thought of as a large laptop. The manufacturer has announced five new models within this product range.

Starting with the ThinkPad P16 Gen 2, which Lenovo has no hesitation in calling its most powerful 16-inch workstation to date. This promise should be fulfilled by the 13th generation Intel Core HX processor and the Nvidia RTX 5000 Ada Generation GPU built into the laptop. You can also add PCIe Gen 5 memory and up to 192GB of DDR5 RAM memory.

Lenovo places the P16v between the entry-level and high-end classes. This workstation laptop features a thirteenth generation Intel Core H processor paired with an Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada Generation GPU. Dual thermal cooling maintains the laptop’s temperature while you place the processor in the rack.

The ThinkPad P1 Gen 6, on the other hand, is characterized by its design, which is only 1.78 kilograms light by workstation standards. This makes the laptop a little more comfortable to take with you than an average workstation. The workstation has the same specs as the Thinkpad P16, with a 16-inch OLED screen with a 5MP camera and reduced blue light, because the manufacturers want you to believe that blue light is equivalent to looking directly at the sun. Support for WiFi-6E4 and optional 4G LTE ensures connectivity.

The 14-inch ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 and 16-inch P16s Gen 6 could close the line. The jobs will be available starting this month. Lenovo refrains from disclosing the price in the press release. We have requested further information from the manufacturer on this.
