İzmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate signs the ‘smart stop’ application that will make life easier. Citizens can see the approaching buses on their mobile phones when they arrive at the stop.
The software developed by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate Information Processing Department brings great convenience to the citizens waiting at the stops. Passengers can see the buses approaching the stop, the lines passing through the stop and their departure times by scanning the QR codes on the labels to be applied to the closed and paddle stops with their smartphones.
In addition, the Passenger Satisfaction Survey is accessible via the same data matrix. For example, citizens can contribute to the efforts to further improve the quality of the ESHOT service by participating in the 10-question survey.
Test run started
The application started at 10 designated stops. Upon completion of the testing procedures, all closed and paddle stops in the city will be included in the application and converted into smart stops.
