The American company Synchron, a competitor of the most famous Neuralink Ilona Maska, began testing chips for implantation in the brain.

Clinical trials of the world’s first commercial brain-computer system, or Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), are reported to have begun. If the tests are successful, the chips will be sold to everyone.

Brain-computer interface systems can make it much easier for people with disabilities to communicate with the outside world. According to official figures, there are 5 million potential users of such systems in the United States alone.

During implantation, the electrodes are delivered through the blood vessels to the brain. That’s the difference between Synchron and Neuralink – this company puts chips directly into the skull.

After implantation, the system begins to translate the user’s brain activity into electrical signals, allowing you to work with online purchases, email, text messages and perform other simple tasks.
