I know a few people who like Fortnite very, very much. In my case, it’s true that I’ve never been very attracted to it. I tried it years ago on both PC and iPad, but after a while, maybe a total of two hours between the two platforms, the mechanics of building between shooting and shooting came to me as originalyes, but not for me. So much so that when Epic Games temporarily removed it earlier this season, I was tempted to try again. But he stayed there, in a temptation that soon went out like a candle when it arrived.
However, and although this is not my style of play, I spent several hours watching the live Fortnite and I fully understand that there are so many people who like itbecause the design is not only original but also fun, full of rhythm and unique in every game. This is not exclusive to Fortnite, of course, every multiplayer game has this virtue, but it’s one of the other points in favor of the game.
When I say that, I understand that for many players, Apple and Google decided to remove Fortnite from their app stores it was a blow. Much less for Android users, because the operating system allows you to use other stores and download from other sources. However, on iOS and iPadOS, once the game was excluded from the Apple App Store, the ability to play it on their devices was banned. As you may recall, this led to last year’s high-profile lawsuit between Epic Games and Apple.

Since then, Apple’s position in this regard has been exhaustive, in Cupertino completely deny that Epic could return to the App Store, which until recently resulted in the inability to play Fortnite on iPhones and iPads. You may remember that as a Christmas gift, Fortnite came to iOS via GeForce NOW, so users finally regained the opportunity to enjoy the game on their Apple devices.
And now this solution is strengthened by an agreement signed between Microsoft and Epic Games, thanks to which lIOS users will be able to play Fortnite via the Xbox Cloud, even if they don’t have an account with the service. This means that we are talking about a completely free variant, which undoubtedly corresponds to a good relationship between the two companies in relation to the lawsuit of Epic Games against Apple.
Personally, I think users Fortnite iOS players found themselves in no man’s land, separating the trenches on both sideswithout eating or drinking without having any responsibility for what happened. So any solution that allows them to recover what they lost seems like great news to me.
