Owners of LADA Vesta, Granta and XRAY with robotic gearboxes could soon face serious problems. In the worst case, the cars must be stopped completely. The point is the shortage of clutch actuators, which were previously supplied to AVTOVAZ by the German company ZF.

The portal Lada.Online reports about the impending disaster. According to the publication, after the introduction of sanctions, such a part of the transmission as an actuator began to periodically disappear from stores. However, AVTOVAZ managed to resume deliveries. Now the situation has changed for the worse. The last delivery of these parts was at the very beginning of the year. There have been no deliveries since February, because the Germans are unwilling to cooperate.

It turns out that a faulty node can turn a car into real estate, because without it the normal operation of the transmission is impossible. Dealers only replace the actuator as a complete assembly as it is considered a maintenance free part. All hope is in the capable hands of craftsmen who have learned how to repair a part.

If recovery is impossible, then it remains only to turn the one-clutch “robot” into the usual “mechanics”. But this, again, will require time and quite serious costs.
