Already in August of this year, the production facilities of the Sollers company in Vladivostok will be started up again. Instead of Mazda cars, they plan to assemble cars of one of the Chinese brands there.

According to TASS, this was announced by the governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako. According to him, they plan to resume production with a capacity of 100,000 cars per year during the Eastern Economic Forum (August-September), launching a screwdriver assembly of Chinese cars.

Recall that several Mazda models were assembled here until 2022: the Mazda6 sedan, CX-5 and CX-9 crossovers. But in December 2022, Sollers acquired the Japanese share in the joint venture for a symbolic euro. At the same time, the latter reserves the right to buy back its own shares. Asians lost $82,000,000 leaving our market.

According to the Avtovoz Telegram channel, delegations from companies such as Geely and Chery have already been seen at the company. And in the workshops they saw crossovers from the Omoda brand.
