Good news for those who dream of a “charged” LADA Granta Sport: while Togliatti is just getting ready for mass production, he has launched sales of another “sporty” liftback – “Grants” performed by Drive Active. Yes, instead of a 122 horsepower engine, it has a modest 90 horsepower engine. On the other hand, the price is quite humane by today’s standards: dealers ask from 980,900 rubles.
Until now, LADA Granta Drive Active was only offered in a sedan, and now, to the delight of practical drivers, the Volga residents have also rolled out the liftback of the same name. This version differs from the standard version with an aerodynamic body kit, 15-inch wheels with a special design and a reconfigured chassis. Of course, it was not without a “sporty” interior finish: contrasting scarlet inserts, stitching, edges of the instrument shell.
In terms of equipment, the Granta Drive Active liftback is only available in the Comfort package, which includes two airbags, air conditioning, heated front seats and an audio system. Under the hood of the same car, as in the case of a sedan, a 1.6-liter 90-horsepower “eight-valve” works, aggregated with a five-speed “mechanics”.
As already mentioned, the starting price of the liftback is 980,900 rubles. For comparison: for a four-door Granta Drive Active in the same Comfort configuration, dealers ask from 953,900 rubles, in the base Classic – from 827,900, and for the cheapest “Grant” in principle – from 692,300.
