The new auto parts cost guides, which came into effect on June 19, are sure to upset Russian motorists as average prices for components have risen by 0.9%.
According to the Russian Union of Motorcycle Insurers (RSA), prices for auto parts for premium cars increased by an average of 12-14%. The price increase mainly affected the products of the German Mercedes-Benz, the British Jaguar and Land Rover, the Japanese Lexus and Infiniti.
However, in the segment of cheap cars, prices have also changed a lot and certainly not in the direction of cheaper prices. As already mentioned, the average cost in the mass market increased by 0.9%. But for budget cars, spare parts – on the contrary – have become more accessible. For example, parts for LADA, Kia, Renault, Hyundai and some Volkswagen models fell in price by 3-7%.
As for the cars of Chinese brands, the components for them are still scarce. How this will turn out for the owners of “heavenly” foreign cars, the portal “AvtoVzglyad” has already told.
