All it took was a Fiat Panda and an idea for the Carmagedon YouTube channel team to create possibly the lowest rated car on the planet. The vehicle was literally cut in half, leaving it very close to the ground and only able to be driven by one person – who would be uncomfortable riding it, let’s be honest.

They salvaged the body from the junkyard by cutting off the top of the door hinge so it can be used, as you can see in the video below. They also suspended the hood and coated its structure to increase its durability while maintaining its height so it doesn’t get stuck in the sunroof or have trouble passing speed bumps.

The driver of the curious car has a camera on the roof, the images of which are transmitted to a smartphone so that he can navigate correctly. Obviously the wheels and engines are also adapted and follow their own pattern to match the car’s shape. The engineers put in a two-stroke engine, which allowed it to move in a similar way to conventional models.

Currently, the Guinness Book of Records recognizes the “Flatmobile” as the lowest vehicle on the planet – which is allowed to travel on roads and off-road. It was inspired by one of the Batmobile models and is only 48.26 cm tall and made from parts taken from two 1963 Hillman Imp cars. One of its most eye-catching features is the 875cc engine, not counting the turbo. it was also related to the project.

It is not known if the team that modified the Fiat Panda will also try to enter the Guinness Book of Records, but its existence should draw the attention of the judges to the study for its inclusion.
