The official dealers of the Chinese JAC, as reported on the brand’s official website, have started selling the T8 Pro pickup. For a novelty on the Russian market, which has been sold in its homeland for five years, they ask from 2,789,000 rubles. In principle, domestic motorists are familiar with this car, which is now also presented under the name JAC T6. And the T8 Pro is just a modernized version of the “truck”, which is quite popular with a number of business customers.
The car has undergone some design and serious changes – in terms of interior and options. Among the latter are two airbags, ESP, cruise control, air conditioning, a 7-inch instrument screen, multimedia with touchscreen (10.4 inches), all-round cameras, xenon headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The overall dimensions are the same as its predecessor: length – 5325 mm with a wheelbase of 3090 mm, payload – 900 kg, ground clearance – 220 mm. Under the bonnet is – a choice – a 2-liter diesel engine (139 hp, 320 Nm) or a 2.4-liter petrol turbo engine (211 hp, 320 Nm), aggregated with a six-speed manual transmission. The drive is a plug-in full with a reduction gear.
Recall that the Chinese have been quite active lately in developing this segment, which is not very popular with us. So, recently Changan Hunter Plus appeared on the market (from 3,309,900 ₽), Great Wall announced Russian prices for Poer King Kong (from 2,799,000 ₽). And last year sales of Dongfeng DF6 (from ₽ 2,790,000) started.
