The American brand has set a course to expand the segment of environmentally friendly electric vehicles – the Ford Mustang Mach E crossover and the Ford E-Transit commercial van will add one more business model in 2022: the Ford E-Transit Custom compact van premiered, which became the first of four by 2024 commercial models of the brand with an electric power plant – they will also include the Transit Courier van and Tourneo Custom and Tourneo Courier passenger vans.

The novelty is positioned as a completely new electric vehicle, which “should become a new benchmark in the European segment of one-ton vans and help businessmen easily switch to electrified vehicles.”

The E-Transit Custom received a body design inspired by other commercial Ford models, but the electric car can be distinguished by a new headlight and a large mesh grille.

It is stated that the E-Transit Custom will be able to travel up to 380 kilometers without recharging, there will be 3 DC fast charging and the ability to tow trailers. Other technical characteristics of the model have not yet been disclosed.

The electric car will be equipped with a Ford Pro system with cloud services that make it easier to maintain the model and conduct business. A feature of the new van was the ProPower Onboard system, which allows you to connect external consumers of electricity to the electric vehicle – lighting and electrical appliances.

All details about the new Ford E-Transit Custom will be revealed in September 2022, and the production of the electric car will be launched next year at the facilities of Ford Otosan in Turkey, from where the new model will be delivered to Europe.
