The luxury department of the Chinese FAW, the Hongqi brand, presented to the public another novelty – a small crossover HS3. A car the size of a Toyota RAV4 has become one of the most affordable models of the “heavenly” premium brand.

With the release of the Hongqi HS3, the brand has shown that the modern automotive industry is not just electric trains and plug-in hybrids. The basic modification of the new crossover is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a capacity of 168 horsepower. Of. and “robot” with 7 gears. Such a car accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds.

The top version received a mild hybrid power unit (the starter generator helps the internal combustion engine “in difficult times”) with a 2-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 251 hp. Of. She works in the company of an eight-speed “automatic” and all-wheel drive. The dynamics of such a crossover is 6.9 seconds “to a hundred”.

The dimensions of the Hongqi HS3 are 4655x1900x1668 mm and the wheelbase is 2770 mm. The central place on the “muzzle” is occupied by an immense radiator grille with a vertical “bone” of silver color. On the sides below – “nostrils” with fog lights. The headlight is made in the spirit of modern Chinese car fashion – with separate headlights. The rear part is also framed “according to the canon”: angular block headlights are optically connected by a narrow stop signal over the entire width of the stern.

Salon Hongqi HS3 trimmed with dark expensive plastic. Inside, the car is equipped with two color LCD screens – a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a 12.6-inch touchscreen on the center console. Characteristically, the makers of the car have not visually “blinded” them into one long “TV” – as many Asian competitors are doing now in pursuit of the elusive creative thought of German designers a decade ago. On the contrary: each of the crossover monitors is framed in an emphatically solid plastic frame, as if demonstrating the monumentality and reliability of the Chinese “premium”.

Hongqi HS3 is offered to the buyer in four trim levels at prices ranging from 145,800 yuan (1.84 million rubles) to 195,800 yuan (2.5 million rubles). Until now, one can only dream of deliveries of the model to Russia.
