Avtodor decided to brag about the pace of construction of the future M12 mega route. As representatives of the state company told the editors of the AvtoVzglyad portal, asphalt concrete pavement has already appeared on 190 of the 811 kilometers of the future high-speed highway that will connect Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan.
So, at the second stage of road construction (it is located in the Vladimir region), the lower layer of the roadway with a thickness of 8 centimeters is laid. This is one of three tiers that will be built on the track. In the third phase, work will also be carried out on laying asphalt concrete. A front of 15 kilometers is ready to be laid. In May, after the laying of the bottom layer of the pavement on this section has been completed, the road workers will start laying the top layer.
In total, the construction workers plan to close 560 of the 811 kilometers in one go by the end of 2022 with asphalt concrete, or 70% of the route. Now the top layer of the base is laid at 15% and the bottom layer of the pavement at 6% of the roadway.
However, as you know, you cannot please everyone. This spring, when Avtodor is building the M12 superhighway in record time, this project is suddenly met with a very large army of critics. And this is not at all that layer of Russians who like to repeat the mantra “let them drive on their own toll roads”. Now drivers are dissatisfied with the grandiose construction, which should kill car suspensions on roads interrupted by heavy trucks serving the mega project.
