The Rostov Department of the Interior Ministry has already responded to the scandalous post “in the cart”, saying that “an official control on this fact has been established, the conduct of which has been entrusted to the internal security unit. If the information is confirmed, employees will be punished and their leaders will be subject to strict disciplinary responsibility, up to and including dismissal from internal affairs bodies.”

Recall that about a month ago, about a hundred former and current employees of the local traffic police were detained in the Rostov region. All are involved in extorting bribes from drivers who drove along the M4 Don through the traffic police post of the Traffic Police No. 1 in Aksai city from 2017 to 2020. Corrupt traffic police allegedly photographed passing vehicles. The resulting images were edited to include imaginary traffic violations. “Photoshopped” photo material was immediately sent to the accomplices – traffic cops – who were located a few kilometers from the shooting site. The latter stopped the victims’ cars, handed them false evidence of violations and printed bribes for not completing the protocols. The amounts of bribes ranged from 5,000 to 500,000 rubles.

Similar arrests of greedy gay men took place in the region last year and the year before. But, as we see, all in vain. Is it time for drastic measures?
