All this can be achieved with a simple garden fertilizer – copper sulfate.
There is indeed a certain effect. For example, to protect parts from rust, they are placed in a solution of distilled water and the already mentioned composition for 5 minutes. After the copper completely covers the element, it will be much more resistant to red staining. And what happens if you pour vitriol into the engine?
This is done when it is obvious that deposits and slag have appeared on the working surfaces. The drive unit idles erratically, loses power, vibrates and smokes. There are two ways out of this situation: capital or cleaning with improvised compositions without removing the head from the block.
Most, of course, choose the second option. Caution is important here. If you overdo it and just pour vitriol down the neck, you can get into trouble. Of course, he will clean engine parts from soot. But where does all that dirt go? If it gets into the oil pan, it stays there. And if impurities clog the oil filter, it will simply lose its throughput. As a result, the lubricant is no longer cleaned and only passes through the bypass valve. The pressure in the system will drop, which is indicated by the warning light on the instrument panel.
The result is sad. The filter is for ejection. Yes, and the oil pan must be removed to remove all the viscous dirt that has accumulated there. Of course, the fluid must also be replaced. Only after all this can the power source come to life.
In general, we do not recommend the use of household or horticultural chemicals when servicing a vehicle. It is safer and easier to buy oil with a copper-based additive package. Usually manufacturers make it on a high quality ester base (as in most premium products) and then add metal cladding additives. So you certainly don’t have to worry about the cleanliness of the engine.
