Spring prices for auto parts and “consumables” up 30%

In March-April 2022, car parts prices rose by an average of 30%. Disruptions in logistics supply chains have led to a fairly serious shortage of body parts in the country, such as bumpers, windows and headlights. Because of this, the “price” for some parts has increased six times.

According to Kommersant, spare parts for body repairs rose by an average of 31% in April compared to February.

The largest price increase was noted for bumpers. The front ones rose in price by 34%, the rear ones – by 32%. The prices for block headlights increased by the same amount. In addition, wings have increased in price by 31% and now they will forgive 30% more for doors. But automotive glass will “only” rise in price by 26%.

It should be noted that about 35% of Russian car services are now experiencing problems with parts supply. This applies to almost the entire range of spare parts from engine parts and electronics to consumables, including candles, filters and motor oils. The recent permission for parallel imports has not yet had any impact on the situation.

However, all this mess was quite predictable and the AvtoVzglyad portal warned of an imminent collapse of the spare parts market in early March.
