The capital’s automotive industry has a rich history. You can be convinced of this by visiting the Manege Station exhibition, which opened in the center of Moscow. The exposition includes a unique collection of Moskvich cars, new models from the plant and something else. About this – in the material of the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.

Among the most popular new products, we highlight the Moskvich 6 liftback – the second brainchild of the manufacturer after Moskvich 3. An interesting detail: in August, the “six” was shown in a taxi package and visitors were given access to the salon.

Now, in a white car, all windows are tightly sealed with black foil and the interior cannot be seen. Thus, the inner world of the vehicle is not yet fully formed. Anyway, the car is cute. It has LED optics and cameras are built into the side mirror housings, indicating the presence of a surround view system.

Under the hood, a 1.5-liter supercharged engine should work in two boost options: 136 and 174 horsepower. Of. A variator and a six-speed “robot” are attached to the pair.

Next to the “Moskvich” is a premium innovation – Aurus Senat on hydrogen fuel cells. So far this is only a prototype, but we hope that the serial version will see the light of day one day. The sedan commands respect, only powerful steel crossbars are visible under the bottom.

Apparently, this design includes hydrogen cylinders. One way or another, if the car “sits” on its “belly” in the mud or snow, then because of these “pieces of iron” it will only be possible to pull it off with a tractor.

The main part – the exposition of experimental cars of the Soviet-era Moskvich plant is very interesting. Thus, the development of “Moskvich 3-5-6” began in the late 1960s. He would change the 412th on the conveyor belt. At the venture, he was nicknamed “The Bride” because it was necessary to satisfy management in order to get a pass on the assembly line. But the plans did not come true.

It is almost unbelievable, but the designers of AZLK once also designed vans. Moskvich-3733 is proof of this. The model got the name “Buffet” because of the characteristic shape of the stern.

The prototype “Moskvich-2144 Istra” is a repository of new technologies from the late 80s. Under the hood is an Elsbett diesel engine that even runs on rapeseed oil. There is a place to install night vision goggles and the doors will open.

Go ahead. Increased capacity station wagon “Arbat” appeared in 1991. The engine and chassis are of the serial number AZLK-2141. But the “strong businessman” did not enter into the series. Only one copy was made.

There are enough words for that. See photos and go to the exhibition.
