The Ministry of the Interior named a typical violator of traffic rules, who drives drunk. This reports TASS citing the information and analytical assessment of the Scientific Center for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The most common offenders were men aged 30 to 39, who had previously been placed under administrative responsibility for traffic offences.

The department notes that people in this age group were the most likely to participate in drunken traffic accidents last year. With regard to the level of education of offenders, citizens with secondary or secondary special education drive drunk. But people with a diploma in 2021 have not had a single car accident.

It is also interesting that of all crashes involving drivers who have been previously deprived of their rights, more than 40% were intoxicated and that 43.8% of those previously prosecuted were identified as driving with signs of intoxication.

In terms of employment, almost half of the drivers are not officially employed and 21% work in trade and services. And speaking of vehicles, 83% of the drunken crashes occur with the participation of passenger cars, 13% for motor vehicles, 4% for other vehicle categories.
