A special poll found that 82% of Russian drivers assisted other drivers at least once, while 63% of “steersmen” do not try to refuse to help strangers on the road when they see a difficult situation. However, there are other opinions on this matter.

According to a survey conducted by Rambler & Co in collaboration with SberAvto analysts, 25% of Russian drivers have never experienced support from other drivers, 42% believe there are not that many ready to help, and 13 % is completely sure that every man for himself.

Meanwhile, 19% of the 3,000 people who took part in the survey noted that they sometimes got help on the road, and 40% – in isolated cases. But 68% of respondents expressed a desire to help others when such an opportunity arises.

Usually, motorists help to pull a car out of the snow (16%), start from a push boat or light the battery (15%). About 10% of respondents helped tow a car to a technical center, 4% shared fire extinguishers or a first aid kit, 3% provided gasoline.
