The document emphasizes that the regulation of OSAGO rates is carried out through the Central Bank’s approval of economically justified amounts of base interest rates and coefficients, as well as the rules for their application by insurers. This procedure does not allow full or partial discounts when issuing policies to one class of drivers, thus increasing the price of ‘car citizenship’ for others.

In addition, the recall states that boosting demand for new domestic cars cannot be achieved by amending OSAGO legislation, as “its purpose is to protect victims’ rights to compensation for damage caused to their life, health or property when using the car. vehicle by other persons”.
