The great problems faced by the Russians after the onset of the known events perhaps most painfully affected the motorized part of their compatriots. Decent cars, unlike food or clothing, have all but disappeared as a class. And after that, time-tested auto parts and consumables disappeared from the shelves of auto shops and from the warehouses of auto repair shops. But if cars of well-known European, Japanese and Korean brands have more or less replaced Chinese cars, then now it’s just a disaster of parts and auto chemicals: the market is flooded with counterfeit products of various levels of reliability and outright left-wing. How not to get into trouble, choosing, for example, brake pads or engine oil, the AvtoVzglyad portal understood.
Experts and real players in the car market almost panic: the share of counterfeit spare parts in Russia is growing literally every day. And for some positions, and especially in the lubricants segment, it’s about 20% by the most optimistic estimates. At the same time, car owners themselves “work” for shadow businessmen!
Faced with falling incomes, they like to take what is cheaper and not scarce. And the ‘underground workers’ like to try and generate interest in their products with colorful packaging, ‘left-wing’ quality certificates and, of course, bargain prices. And people, as they say, hawala!
And what if you can wait months for a product from a proven manufacturer and have to pay scrap money for it? You will be surprised, but in this sense the owners of “heavenly” vehicles are most fortunate today. The Chinese comrades quickly solved the problem of filling their warehouses with all the necessary nomenclature about healthy price lists.
But does this mean that the most reasonable way out for motorists today is to massively switch to self-propelled wheelchairs from China to get rid of car repair and maintenance problems once and for all? Not at all. There is another way out – and not even one! – of the situation. And you can learn more about this in the next issue of the AvtoVzglyad portal podcast, which you can find Here.
