Jetour, a subsidiary of Chery, announced the expansion of its line in Russia. As early as late September, we’re getting to see the X70 Plus crossover, which will be a step down from the brand’s flagship X90 Plus model.

The Destination X models are presented as part of the Travel+ concept and are aimed at the family car tourism sector. “The increased space in the cabin and luggage compartment, a wide range of options and adaptation to the Russian climate allow you to travel comfortably,” reads a small press release from the company, released on the eve of the premiere.

With a wheelbase of 2720 mm and a body length of 4724 mm, the new Jetour X70 Plus can accommodate up to 7 people. In China, such a version can be purchased in the basic version at a price of 97,900 yuan (about 1 million rubles). But whether the 7-seater modification will be sold in Russia is not yet known.

The crossover only has front-wheel drive. But in the arsenal there are electronic assistants for off-road driving. As a power couple, we are waiting for a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 150 “before load” forces and a robot transmission. Detailed features of the Russian versions, as well as equipment and prices will be announced closer to the official start of sales.

As a reminder, Jetour Auto became the second fastest growing car exporter in China in 2022. Expansion into Russia began only in 2023, but the brand has already “armed” about a hundred dealers across the country. The brand’s domestic product line is currently represented by two models – the X90 Plus family crossover and the Dashing urban crossover.
