Inspecting a car after washing can bring not only positive emotions: in addition to new scratches and chips on the car body, especially if it is light in color, a whole galaxy of yellow dots can be found. Rust? Kidneys? Reagents? And only painting helps? Don’t rush, there is an easier and cheaper solution.

New cars in Russia are used very quickly. Already after the first winter, soaked with reagents, traces of corrosion may appear in the sunlight, and after a few years in the city, with its supermarket parking lots and cramped parking spaces in the courtyard, you have to think about polishing. Well, if the ‘swallow’ is only five years old, the paint shop is not far away. Use “translucent” even if there are no visual traces of contact: the paint is intact, but some yellow spots have appeared on it, as if rust is emerging from the depths. Internal corrosion, like on the Zhiguli from the Timeless Era? Here’s a foreign car for you, grandma…

Now that we’ve expressed enough of my opinions, which are closely linked to claims against everyone – from “reptilians” to Freemasons – we need to get to work. It is unlikely that the official dealer of a brand that left Russia prematurely will want to take the car for warranty repairs. Consequently, we will have to clean it up at our own expense, so we will postpone painting – this is not the time for sudden movements – and try home garage methods.

First of all, you should try any anti-bitumen remedy: road works were going on all over Russia this summer, and the yellow spots could be the smallest particles of that same road sludge. After washing, we treat the worst areas, let the product work a little and then wash it off. Wow, there is already a small result. Repetition is the mother of learning.

If you do not have special equipment at hand and the store is not accessible, any pharmacy can help: for 23 rubles we buy a jar of ammonia, which should only be worked on the street – it smells too bad – which should be used in the form of compresses. Literally for a minute or two, no longer. As practice shows, along with the clearing of the nose and brain, the cleansing of the part damaged by the road bacchanals will occur.

The last trick I have up my sleeve is polishing. Moreover, you should start with “manual” products, which are applied with microfibers and polished with them. Such compositions represent a local “deep cleaning” and in three out of four cases you can remove small scratches and dirt in the paint.

By the way, it is impossible to overheat the coating with your hand and burn the varnish, so this method is suitable for everyone – no knowledge or skills are required. Well, the icing on the cake is the machine polishing. It requires a trip, special tools and professional, high-quality ingredients. However, “detailing” costs less than painting the part.
