The influx of new Chinese products to Russia – both ‘in vain’ and very officially imported – does not stop. Great Wall received OTTS for another electric car, which will apparently enter the domestic car market soon. The compact hatchback has a very attractive appearance and, most importantly, a name that is favorable from a marketing point of view.
The increase in recycling rates for combustion engine cars portended a total shift towards the import of ‘green’ cars. Following the lead of the gray suppliers, official distributors decided to “emphasize electricity”: for example, Great Wall, which represents Haval and Tank in Russia, received vehicle type approval for the Ora Good Cat, an “environmentally friendly” hatch, sold in China under a separate brand. Judging by the cars currently unofficially presented in Russia, Ora’s managers include representatives of two parties: Volkswagen fans and cat lovers. The first came with the design and the second with the names of the models: Black cat, Ballet Cat and further down the list.
We got the Good Cat: a five-door with a ‘piston-like’ appearance, an electric motor with a power of 126 kW or 171 hp. s., front-wheel drive and a range on one charge of 401 km. The cost of a car brought through parallel imports ranges from 2,870,000 to 3,300,000 rubles. There is no information yet about the start of official deliveries and prices.
