For the first time, the races on tractors “Bison-Track-Show” took place exactly 20 years ago – in the spring of 2002. Since then, the event has become a tourist attraction, attracting up to 40,000 spectators every year. And while the coronavirus epidemic appears to have subsided, organizers believe it would be better to postpone current starts.

According to the official version, due to the high density of tens of thousands of spectators, the organizers fear the spread of the coronavirus and are moving the Bison Track Show to May 2023. Another reason for the transfer is the so-called “large-scale road construction” currently taking place near the circuit.

The third reason the founders of tractor racing prefer to keep quiet, but it is obvious. The event will take place in the Rostov region, which borders directly on Ukraine, where a special operation of Russian forces is currently underway.

In general, fans of these competitions are asked to wait. And in return, they promise to prepare a course with a new configuration, complex sporting regulations and a large prize money. The finalists are therefore offered three tractors at the same time.

By the way, about tractors. Probably, many compatriots who grew up (or were born) during the Soviet era remember funny tractors with a loading platform in front instead of the engine compartment.

They were called “Chassis”, “Dashechka”, “Beggar”, and the official name of such equipment is the self-propelled chassis of the T-16 tractor. So, in Russia, a high-tech successor to the legendary “Chassis” was built.
