Everything starts as usual. With a wave of the striped stick, you stop the car at the side of the road and hand the documents to the approaching police officer. And then something strange starts. The employee can, without bothering to explain, leave in a company car with your “rights” and STS and be “stuck” there for a longer period of time. Why would a traffic police officer search for a long time for driver’s documents?
The first thing that comes to mind is that they (or their owner) somehow alerted the law enforcement officer. And the police officer decided to check the authenticity of the VU and STS, as well as inquire about the identity of their owner. He does this using a service tablet, or by contacting the duty unit of his unit directly. Such manipulations usually do not take much time. In the worst case – 10 minutes, no more. Therefore, the driver cannot start taxing earlier than this period.
It happens that a law enforcement officer discovered a traffic violation by the driver and “without declaring war” began to write a protocol or resolution. So that later, “without wasting time”, you can give it to the motorist to sign when handing in the driver’s license. This is a violation of procedure.
The third option is related to a possible “dirty game” of the employee, if he initially decides to “cheat” the driver with a bribe. But before I got started, I found it useful to put the would-be extortion victim out of psychological equilibrium.
In any of the above cases, you should not panic under any circumstances!
