Chinese Geely dealers have opened orders for the next model year’s Monjaro crossover. And if earlier sellers asked 168,200 yuan for the initial configuration of the model, which at the current exchange rate is equal to 2,220,000 rubles, now it is 157,700 (almost 2.1 million rubles).
Judging by the photos published by the “heavenly” media, the Geely Monjaro, which entered the new model year, has hardly changed in appearance: both the dimensions of the car and its design have been preserved. There have also been no innovations under the hood: the crossover is still powered by a two-liter engine with 238 hp, linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration to the first hundred is 7.5 seconds, fuel consumption is 7.7 l/100 km in the combined cycle.
At the same time, as our colleagues from Chinese Cars report, Geely has revised the equipment lists of the Monjaro and added new options. So now in the basic version (which, as mentioned earlier, has dropped in price) a start-stop system, adaptive cruise control, a second-level ‘drone’, all-round visibility of 540 degrees, climate control with an air ionizer are offered. In addition, the new product has 19-inch wheels, matrix headlights and an electric fifth door.
There is no information about the timing of the launch of the updated Monjaro in Russia. It’s possible we won’t see this specific version – it may be aimed solely at the home market. As for “our” crossover, it is equipped with the same power sources and there is a choice of three equipment levels. Dealers are ready to sell the cheapest, excluding special offers, for 4,664,990 rubles.
