The Korean premium brand Genesis presented the restyled crossover GV80, which also received a fashionable coupe-shaped version – with German brands in mind. The ‘normal’ version has a slightly modified appearance and a more modern interior.

All the differences between the new GV80 Coupé and the ‘only’ GV80 lie in the design of the rear part of the body. The Korean cross coupe, like the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe or BMW X6, has a more sloping roofline that flows smoothly into the tailgate with a ducktail-style spoiler visor. A double spoiler appeared at the intersection of the trunk door and the roof.

The stern is decorated with lighting – almost the same as on the “regular” GV80, to which the update brought a new front bumper, a design of the radiator grille, new body colors and wheels with a diameter of 20 and 22 inches. The interior of both versions received a 27-inch widescreen screen instead of two separate displays for the instrument panel and the multimedia system.

The washer selector lever has been modified and the climate system controls are now touch sensitive. The GV80 in the Coupé version is distinguished by a ‘sports steering wheel’ with a beveled edge at the bottom and seats with more pronounced lateral support. Only gasoline engines are offered for both versions: a 2.5-liter turbo-four with an output of 304 hp. Of. and a 3.5-liter V6 with 380 hp.

For the cross coupe it will also be possible to choose a “six” with an additional electric supercharger, increasing the power to 415 hp. The flagship version also features sporty settings for the driving electronics, a different sound of the exhaust system, launch control and display of the engine operating parameters on the multimedia screen.

The start date for sales of the updated GV80 and GV80 Coupé has not yet been announced, nor has the recommended cost of the models. In Russia, the cost of the pre-restyling version of the GV80 ranges from 8,699,000 to 13,500,000 rubles, depending on the configuration and the seller’s appetite.
