The Silk Way Rally is a complex mechanism that requires dozens of different vehicles to transport journalists, organizers, judges and partners of the competition. Previously, it supplied Japanese Toyota cars, but now AvtoVAZ decided to provide organizational support.
The international rally “Silk Way-2022” will be held on the Astrakhan – Moscow route from July 7 to 16. In the current edition, the length of the route is 4,380 kilometers, of which 2,800 kilometers on special routes.
The rally support fleet will contain 20 LADA cars to solve various organizational tasks – from technical inspections of the cross-country track to the transport of goods and rally guests.
In addition, representatives of the XRAY, Largus and Vesta families, as well as Niva Travel SUVs, will be part of a special show for spectators at the start and finish of the race.
By the way, as for AvtoVAZ, despite the sanctions, the Russian auto giant will release new Granta and Niva. The AvtoVzglyad portal explains how in general this is possible without the participation of Renault.
