By the way, the correct way to pronounce the numerical prefix for the name is not “twelve”, but “one-two”, which means the first generation of the second model in the brand’s product line, invented by Changan in collaboration with the digital giant Huawei.

Although skeptics and haters of everything in Asia saw notes of Porsche Panamera and Mercedes-AMG GT in the image of the model, comparison with the best of the best did not make the car worse. On the contrary. Especially considering that the new product turned out to be cooler than it turned out in terms of design sophistication and abundance of technology. The fact remains that we’ve previously only seen these as concepts hinting at what cars could look like in the future. And today we are already racing on a full-fledged serial “device”, enjoying this future in the present.

A muscular silhouette, frameless doors, a sloping roof without a rear window, which is a continuation of the panorama that can change the degree of darkness – take a photo of me with this beauty as if she were my own! How about cameras instead of side mirrors, equipped with an anti-glare filter, night vision system, heating and anti-fog function? Cool, but unusual.

Especially if you need to monitor the situation around the car not through mirrors, but through special angle monitors and a three-dimensional display with a diagonal of 35.4 inches on top of the diamond-shaped steering wheel. The picture quality is stunning, the screen supports the 4K format and the main unit responds to the pilot’s voice and gestures.

Entertainment and interactive services are provided on a separate 15.6-inch graphics tablet, which can broadcast video directly from the Internet and reproduce sound in concert hall format thanks to the acoustics flavored with 27 high-quality speakers.

The luxurious snow-white interior invites you to feel comfortable and extra coziness is created by atmospheric lighting that adapts to various audiovisual effects. The controls are touch sensitive; there are no physical keys to be found, just like the answer to the question ‘when will the crisis end?’ But there are two wireless chargers for mobile devices and an indecent set of electronic assistants.

But if all kinds of smart ‘cruises’ and assistants that protect against accidents do not surprise anyone, then an advanced self-driving system certainly will.

Huawei’s autonomous driving function ADS 2.0 can drive the vehicle independently under almost all operating conditions. The autopilot not only accelerates and brakes itself, but also changes lanes, overtakes and reacts to crossing objects and potential hazards from behind.

The one thing electronics may not be able to do is take off sharply from a spot where a car is flying to the stern and clearly can’t brake. But wait: When Avatr 12 is connected to a unified transportation ecosystem, it will even be able to understand traffic lights. Meanwhile, he only sees cyclists, scooters and pedestrians, which even an experienced driver sometimes does not notice.

It seems that in a while the machines will be able to make our own coffee, order goods from marketplaces and charge them automatically. Yes, yes, you heard it right: Avatr 12 is an electric car. Moreover, it has four-wheel drive and is very fast. The power plant is represented by a pair of electric motors producing 578 horsepower. Of. and 650 Nm of thrust. The dynamics are such that the back of the head is permanently “cracked” by the headrest and the back is covered with shivering sweat.

And not for nothing was this model called a fastback: the projectile accelerates as if for the last time – the images behind it change so quickly that you do not have time to blink. Of course: three seconds for the first “hundred” is not a humorous joke.

Believe it or not, during aggressive acceleration, not only is the dynamic spoiler upright, but something else is as well. At the same time, the steering wheel undoubtedly strictly follows the pilot’s instructions, which in every possible way provokes reckless driving.

The air suspension adapts independently to changes in the road surface and plays with the ground clearance as deftly as women do with the nerves of their companions. The electric car seems to simply jump over bumps and holes, and you don’t feel the noise of the power plant at 200 km/h. Probably even a hair dryer is noisier.

Thanks to a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 94.5 kWh, the Avatr 12 can travel approximately 700 kilometers on a single charge. Unless of course it’s freezing outside and there are no traffic jams on the road. In any case, make sure you go to the nearest charger. For comparison: the vaunted but rather boring Tesla will ‘cool down’ 100 km sooner. Take a bite, Elon Musk! And wipe yourself – forgive me, Lord – Evolute. That’s it for us. A curtain.
