On October 20, the Ministry of Industry and Trade listed car brands recommended by officials for purchase and use. And AVTOVAZ noted that the list will soon be replenished with another model.
As Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports with reference to the AVTOVAZ press service, the auto giant has named Tolyatti a car that best meets all government tender criteria.
— Naturally, all LADA models, as the most localized in the country, participate in government tenders. The range of our vehicles is optimally adapted to Russian road conditions and can be used both on rough terrain and in large cities. We will also start production of the LADA Aura in the autumn of 2024. This is a representative sedan that best meets the criteria of public procurement,” AVTOVAZ promised.
Among the LADA models recommended by the Ministry of Industry and Trade for government procurement, this list included Vesta, Vesta SW Cross, Granta, Niva Travel and Niva Legend. The Aura sedan is not on the list because it is not yet in production.
