According to the Autohome portal, the dimensions of the second generation BAIC BJ30 are 4730/1910/1790 mm, the wheelbase is 2820 mm. With the change of generation, the crossover has increased especially noticeably in length – compared to its predecessor, it has grown by 225 mm, and the distance between the axles – by 145 mm. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine with an output of 188 hp. Of. of the larger X7 model.
There are no data on the transmission yet – most likely the BJ30 will receive a 7-speed “robot”. The presence of all-wheel drive is also a mystery: the crossover of the first generation was equipped exclusively with front-wheel drive, although the new product has the technical possibility of installing a clutch in the rear-wheel drive.
BAIC cars have been produced at the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant since April; by the end of the year, the range of localized models should be expanded to seven. It is quite possible that the BJ30 will also be registered in Russia over time.
