According to the press service of the Moscow Ministry of Transport, new complexes have already been built in places where most accidents involving electric scooters occur. So far they can only detect three deviations from the Rules. If the user leaves their lane, fails to get off at a crosswalk, or is carrying a passenger, the camera records this and the data center forwards the recording to the kick-sharing company that owns the scooter. She, in turn, will have to send photos of the violation to the traffic police, along with the user’s data.
Each electric rental scooter has an identification number that allows you to track the history of its users. Under current legislation, SIM drivers who violate traffic rules risk a fine of 800 to 1,500 rubles, but as the AvtoVzglyad portal previously reported, the authorities are in favor of tightening sanctions – up to 15 days of arrest for repeated speeding violations.
