Photo and video cameras that record traffic violations have probably reached everyone in the country. There is probably not a single car owner left who would not have received the infamous ‘chain letter’ from these electronic regulators at least once in their driving life.

And let us remind you that last year about 200 million were sent to the drivers’ association, and more than 180 million of them came from fixation complexes. This is no wonder when you consider that the number of the latter in Russia is approaching 30,000: we have far more of them than in any other country in the world. There are only about 8,000 cameras in the US.

At the same time, the functionality of such devices is expanding almost daily. They punish for speeding, violating lane markings, running red lights, not wearing a seat belt and much more. But here’s what’s curious: many drivers are not at all against the fact that these traffic police assistants multiply, multiply and hang in clusters on literally every pole!

And it must be said: there is no smell of masochism here: naked calculation and concern for one’s own safety. According to their supporters, cameras certainly discipline the person behind the wheel, unless of course you take complete assholes. But even in the latter case, with the help of cameras it is easier to find the authorities if in their complete lawlessness they cause an accident and disappear from the scene.

And also, the proponents of “Big Brother” are convinced that it is these complexes, in combination with the city video surveillance system, which has more than 200,000 “eyes” in Moscow alone, that are able to bring order to the ranks of reckless owners of so-called personal mobility devices, which have recently become an extremely serious threat not only to pedestrians, but also to motorized citizens.

However, you can learn more about the problem and the ways to solve it in the next episode of the AutoVzglyad portal podcast, which you can find Here.
