The vast majority of motorists in Russia have nothing against novice drivers. Some are indifferent, others help them on the road, but there are others – those who try to stay away from inexperienced drivers.

According to the results of a joint survey by SberAuto and Rambler&Co, 45% of motorists show patience and do not interfere with newcomers on the road. 22% of respondents admitted that they try to stay out of their way, and 11% of respondents claim that they help novice motorists – they give priority when maneuvering and allow them to choose a more convenient parking space.

However, 58% of drivers believe that novice drivers need more experience to gain experience with an instructor, and 26% believe that they need mandatory courses on safe driving.

According to 7% of study participants, monitoring the objectivity of the traffic police exam is important during the learning process, and 5% believe that mandatory courses on extreme driving behavior should be introduced in driving schools. Others propose tightening the requirements for passing exams and adding more theory.

As part of the study, the company surveyed 40,000 people, 75% of whom reported having more than 15 years of driving experience.
