As Rosstandart clarifies, there’s a good chance that these cars at the Japanese factory, where the Lexus NX came from, missed several welding points at the front shock absorber mounts. Accordingly, after a short time, cracks and tears will appear on the body panels, and in the worst case, the shock absorber will come off.
On the whole range of cars, they will check the welding spots of the aprons of the left and right front fenders, and if “lack of fusion” is found, the masters of the dealerships will correct the mistakes made during production. That is, they will “grab” body parts with additional welding points.
By the way, lately the problems with welding are literally haunting the Japanese! Just a week ago, Lexus announced it would add 20 additional points to the UX crossover’s bodywork to improve torsional rigidity.
