Over the past year, the Russian market has faced a massive refusal of official supplies of spare parts and has turned to ‘parallel imports’. With some brands – such as Mercedes – it is still not easy, but here too there are bright spots. But there are no problems at all with parts for “Japanese” and “Koreans”. How to export a container with “prohibited goods” under the watchful eye of the “Washington Regional Committee”, tells the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.

A year and a half have passed since the beginning of the SVO and the total sanctions sabbat, new cars of the usual brands are nowhere to be seen and no changes in this direction are expected in the near future. A thin trickle of “gray deliveries” cannot in any way correct the situation, because such a car will be expensive, spare parts for it will have to be found, and profitable banking products, which everyone has already become accustomed to, are not provided. As a result, the bulk of buyers will follow the beaten path: buy a “Chinese”. But this step is appropriate when buying a new car, but what should those who prefer a secondary car do?

We were afraid of the monstrous shortage of spare parts and components, which was the case initially. I will say more, looking for many positions on a German car, even now you will have to use cunning, run around and wait. Security, electronic components, bodywork and everything related to keys are still in short supply to this day. But for the same Japanese and Koreans, things are completely different: there is an abundance of not only original, but also analogue parts, the prices of which have only fallen since last year. The market is saturated, the “leader’s yellow jersey” passes from the seller to the buyer – now he dictates the terms.

How did this happen with our eleven sanctions packages? Primarily manually and privately through friendly countries. Don’t forget that our border with China, for example, is 4,209 km long. Try to follow it here. But most of the problems were related to the financial side of the issue: money had to be transferred. Yes, so that it is safe for both the payer and the recipient.

And here the classic method helped in the form of a “gasket” – a company located in another country and not subject to sanctions and can purchase goods around the world without consequences. The role of such a buffer was played by the hospitable Emirates, where dozens of companies specializing in logistics and auto parts were immediately opened. It was they who began to purchase parts with a view to their subsequent sale.

Where? To who? Let’s be honest: no one has ever worried about this. Will there be problems? We sell! Companies all over the world work exactly according to this principle, so official manufacturers, without a doubt, sold the entire required range to Arab companies based on their registration, and then shrugged their shoulders: how do spare parts for cars with Russian specifications work? Reach Russia and be sold there? Yes, we know nothing about this, we don’t do business with the Russians!

Over time, there were many such companies, the flow of freight outgrew both the shortage and the need, after which it began to put pressure on the price: the cost was quite high, the business was financially viable, so many continued to transport, even receive less profit compared to the previous year. Besides, they’ll bring you tomorrow too. Simply because it is profitable. And I’m not concerned about sanctions. Money talks.
