Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin spoke at a government meeting about the expansion of the preferential car loan program. Over the next three years, about 30 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of these plans.
As Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports, the government has provided additional financing for preferential car loans and expanded the number of participants in the program. Thanks to the support mechanism for Russian car manufacturers and the demand for their products, certain categories of citizens – medical personnel, teachers, participants of special military operations and their relatives – can receive a discount of up to 25% on the cost when purchasing a car, Mishustin noted on.
In addition, it was decided to increase the benefit for the purchase of Russian electric vehicles to 35%, but not more than 925,000 rubles. “We hope that thanks to the measures taken, even more of our citizens will have the opportunity to purchase such cars, and this will help improve the environmental situation,” the Prime Minister said. There is also a 35% discount when leasing domestic electric trains.
