The news was revealed by Rafael and Kiko in a chat where they also reminisced about the personal stories and histories of the group. According to Bittencourt, fans’ investment in technology will contribute to “the economy of rock and heavy metal in the world”.
The Angra NFT trading platform was developed in partnership with a startup DaX, which works with blockchain assets. The tokens available at launch are posters for the 20th anniversary tour of the new album. revivalwhich marked the band’s history, along with collectibles.
“It is very important to communicate with the fans, to understand where they are and how they communicate,” Rafael commented in an interview with Exame magazine. “New digital media shows that the group is paying attention and acknowledging these needs, knows the language.”
